The Mooer MEP-PA11 Cali-Dual was modelled on a Californian classic 100W head that has defined hard-hitting, heavy guitar tone for over 25 years, built from a sample Mooer made of an original, first-run example of the amplifier. It carries a lush, versatile clean channel alongside a drive channel that runs from low gain through to all-out saturation. Like the rest of Mooer's micro preamp range, Cali-Dual is a sonically accurate digital recreation of the original amplifier's preamp section, developed by directly analysing the real amp to capture its sound, dynamics and response, and it combines dual channels with integrated speaker cabinet simulation and dual operating modes. Different power amplifiers used downstream will affect the final tone, and the pedal can also be connected directly to a sound card with cab simulation active for recording.
Highlights
- Dual channel preamp: lush clean channel plus a drive channel running from low gain to high-output saturation
- Independent 3-band EQ, Gain and Volume per channel
- Onboard speaker cabinet simulation, switchable on/off
- Two footswitch operating modes: On/Off or Channel A/B
- Rugged full-metal casing
- Connects straight into a sound card via the built-in cab simulation for recording
