The Meinl 18-inch Byzance Extra Dry Dual Crash Cymbal is extremely dry, with a low-pitched, trashy sound and short sustain. Its raw, unlathed surface and extensive hand hammering suggest a loud, fierce sound, but the Extra Dry series instead reveals dark, earthy tones and comes to life when played at lower volumes.
