The Meinl 18/16 Matt Garska Fat Stack is a cymbal stack designed by Meinl artist Matt Garska together with the Meinl R&D team, pairing an 18-inch top cymbal with a 16-inch bottom cymbal. With no ring, the sustain is dry, and the trashy character holds up across a wide range of tensions, with a light tension giving the stack its "Fat Stack" character. It works well as a timekeeping stack and with choppy accents, and paired with a snare it produces an organic, hip-hop-style clap sound.
