The JHS 3 Series Rotary Chorus is part of JHS's affordable, simplified 3 Series range, built by JHS in Kansas City, Missouri, with three simple controls and one toggle. The rotary effect was one of the earliest modulation effects to hit the music scene, originally designed for Hammond organs - the Leslie was a rotating speaker that created the recognisable Doppler effect (think church organ). You've heard rotary effects on tracks including "It's Only Love" by the Beatles, "Cold Shot" by Stevie Ray Vaughan, "City Love" by John Mayer, and "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden. The 3 Series Rotary Chorus brings this classic, spinning chorus tone into an affordable, easy-to-use pedal. Intensity determines the modulation depth, Speed controls how fast the simulated speaker spins, and switching the Room toggle on (up) adds a roomy reverb ambience, similar to the ambient room-microphone sound of recording a real Leslie speaker.
