The Fryette Power Station PS-100 is a 100-watt Integrated Reactance Amplifier built around a 12AX7 preamp valve driving a matched pair of 6550 power valves, letting you connect virtually any guitar amp head or small combo and get foot-switchable attenuation, power boosting, and a silent reactive load for direct recording. It's an exceptionally transparent, user-friendly way to control volume without sacrificing feel or tone.
Highlights
- 100W Integrated Reactance Amplifier: a tunable reactive load coupled to a genuine tube power amp (1x 12AX7, 2x 6550 matched pair)
- Two sets of foot-switchable front panel controls plus a foot-switchable FX loop
- Doubles as a power booster for small or vintage amps, and a silent reactive load for direct recording
- Selectable 2/4, 8 or 16 Ohm impedance matching for both amplifier and speaker cabinet sides
- Active safety bypass keeps a critical load on the amp if the speaker jack is accidentally unplugged
- Compact desktop unit at approx. 7.3kg (35.5 x 7 x 22.9cm); optional carry bag and rack kits
