The Focusrite Scarlett 8i6 is a compact studio interface that keeps mics, guitars and synths plugged in and ready to go. Improved A-D and D-A conversion supports recording and playback at up to 24-bit/192kHz, and two independent high-fidelity headphone outputs with dedicated volume control support flexible monitoring. Two of its third-generation Scarlett mic preamps include an optional Air setting, and two high-headroom instrument inputs allow guitar or bass to be recorded without clipping or unwanted distortion. Six flexible line inputs, two on the front with gain control and four fixed on the rear, allow up to six mono or three stereo line-level sources to be recorded, and a pair of virtual loopback inputs assists with podcasting, live streaming and sampling.
