The Electro-Harmonix Mainframe Bit Crusher pedal recreates the lo-fi sound of old-school games, toys and terminals, taking inspiration from the era of arcade classics like Pac-Man and Donkey Kong and machines like the Commodore 64. It combines sample rate reduction and bit depth reduction with a selectable filter to shape the resulting artefacts, plus a Sample Rate Tuning Mode that can match the sample rate to the key of a song or track it dynamically as you play.
Highlights
- Sample Rate Reduction ranging from 48kHz down to 110Hz
- Bit Depth Reduction ranging from 24-bit down to 1-bit
- Selectable High/Low/Band-Pass filter to shape the bit-crushed artefacts
- Sample Rate Tuning Mode matches the sample rate to the key of a song or tracks it as you play
- Programmable preset or expression pedal control over any combination of the Mainframe's knobs
- High-quality buffered bypass with silent switching
