Combining four classic germanium transistors, the EHX Germanium 4 Big Muff Pi is a focused modern design dripping with EHX's analog heritage. Independent overdrive and distortion sections each have their own pair of germanium transistors and their own controls, and the ability to stack both together delivers the power of a four-germanium-transistor circuit with maximum control flexibility.
Highlights
- Four individual germanium transistors, two dedicated to overdrive and two to distortion
- Overdrive and distortion can be used independently or stacked together
- Bias and Tone controls shape the overdrive's tonality
- Volts and Bias controls define how the distortion reacts
- Starving the battery via the Volts control adds extra character
