The Toca Freestyle 2 Series 12-inch Mechanically Tuned Djembe in Kente Cloth uses all-weather synthetic heads that resist the stretching, drying and pitch loss that natural skin heads can suffer with changes in weather, giving more consistent sound and allowing the head to be tensioned over a wider range for higher, crisper slaps and deeper bass tones. Its Kente Cloth wrap design references a pattern once reserved for kings and still a proud symbol of Ghana's Akan people.
