The Northern Mauler is a Glenn Fricker signature distortion pedal combining Revv's high-gain tone with the sound of melodic death metal and metallic hardcore. It houses two complete circuits - a custom-tuned Revv high-gain amp circuit and a homage to the HM-2 "Swedish chainsaw" tone - with a Blend knob giving full control from 100% Amp Circuit to 100% Chainsaw Circuit.
Highlights
- Two complete circuits in one pedal: Amp and Chainsaw, joined by a Blend knob
- Global Volume and Giv'r (Gain) controls, with independent controls per circuit
- Use the Chainsaw circuit alone to boost a high-gain amp
- Blend the two circuits to add cut and character to a traditional high-gain tone
- Simple 9V centre-negative power and top-mounted jacks
- Manufactured in Canada to rugged quality standards
