MXR Dookie Drive V3 Guitar Pedal
Guaranteed Safe Checkout:
Billie Joe Armstrong's guitar tone on Green Day's Dookie was dirty and punchy with the articulation to express his fast, melodic riffs. He got that sound by running his signal through two heavily modified amplifiers — one scooped with plenty of gain, the other with a well-defined midrange — then blending the two signals in different ratios to match the vibe of each track. The MXR Dookie Drive Pedal captures the sound of both amps in a single unit so you can dial in your own variations of that famous Dookie sound. MXR borrowed the original amplifiers so its engineers could analyse all the sonic qualities that make them sound so good, then rebuilt them from scratch in pedal circuit form and fit them into a single housing. This version celebrates the launch of Green Day's eclectic thirteenth studio album Father of All..., featuring the album cover's rainbow unicorn artwork over a brushed aluminium housing.
