In 1946 Tadao Kashio whom had an engineering background established Kashio  Seisakujo and his first product was the yubiwa pipe. In 1957 Casio Computer Co., Ltd was formed by Kashio along with his three brothers and the the world's first all-electric compact calculator Model 14-A was released. In 1980 its line of affordable home electronic keyboards became popular as well as the wide variety of wrist watches it manufactured.
