AUTHENTIC HENDRIX '68 SHRINE SERIES BAND OF GYPSYS FUZZ
Guaranteed Safe Checkout:
This special edition of the Band of Gypsys Fuzz pays tribute to Jimi Hendrix with a custom finish featuring artist John Van Hamersveld's famous 1968 Shrine Auditorium concert poster art, remixed by Simon Berndt of One Horse Town Illustration, complete with a buzzsaw starburst, sunflowers and psychedelic lettering. Packed into a compact MXR mini housing, it's based on a mysterious red-and-white Fuzz Face Distortion that Hendrix used at several iconic shows between 1969 and 1970, most notably his Band of Gypsys performance — a pedal that has since been lost to history but whose aggressive, biting snarl lives on in the recordings. Dunlop's engineers traced that unique sound to a version of the Octavio circuit without its trademark octave-up effect, and after a few tweaks, recreated it faithfully in the Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face Mini Distortion.
