Vintage Boss PS-3 Pitch Shifter Delay Pedal- Taiwan - Nov 1997 ( Pre Owned) BK45144 PS3

The BOSS PS-3 Digital Pitch Shifter/Delay (1994–1999) is a legendary digital pedal featuring 11 modes, combining high-quality pitch shifting and long delay (up to 2000ms). Known for its "shoegaze" and "shimmer" sounds, it features 16-bit processing, stereo outputs, and expression pedal capability.

• Pitch Shifting (Modes 4-7): Offers 24 chromatic steps over a $\pm$1 octave range, plus 2-octave up/down capability.
• Delay Modes (Modes 1-3): Ranging from 32ms to 2000ms (Mode 1: 32–125ms, Mode 2: 125–500ms, Mode 3: 500–2000ms).
• Unique Modes: Features an "inverse" (reverse) pitch mode, Dual Pitch Shift, and Detune modes.
• Mode 7: Famously used for "shimmer" effects, creating a reverse octave effect with delay.
• Expression Control: Connect an expression pedal (EV-5 or FV-300L) to control pitch shifting in real-time.

• Signal Processing: 16-bit linear.
• Sampling Frequency: 32kHz.
• Current Draw: 70mA (9V DC).
• Controls: Mode Switch, Balance, Tuning (fine/coarse), Feedback, Pedal Switch.

It is highly regarded for its unique, sometimes "metallic" digital voice and has gained a cult following in shoegaze and experimental music, with models often sought after on the used market.
