Provides stable long-term sound and playability
āDuet+ā is original Yamaha technology that produces an ABS resin bore lining. Duet+ originates from oboe design technology.
The instrumentās bore is protected by a resin layer.
The resin layer minimizes changes to the internal wood.
Precision is enhanced for more stable tone and pitch.
The likelihood of internal distortion and cracking due to humidity changes is reduced.
The instrument provides stable long-term sound and playability.
Know-how acquired through the production of custom models
Barrel's outer diameter: A shape that promotes efficient breath flow through the instrument. The barrel gets slightly smaller toward the mouthpiece for easy blowing and flexible response to expressive nuances. Slightly larger at the lower end.
Bell: The interior features an original Yamaha shape that results in improved B pitch.
Can be played naturally even by small children
The adjustable thumb rest can be set to a height that is most comfortable for individual players, reducing thumb discomfort and fatigue.
It can be set to make fingering comfortable for players with small hands and can be readjusted as necessary as the player grows and becomes more proficient. The thumb rest also includes a ring that can provide a convenient location for strap attachment when needed.
