Boss HF-2 Hi Band Flanger Pedal- Taiwan - Sep 1990 Green Label ( NO BOX) ( Pre Owned)
A "Boss HF-2 Taiwan spec" refers to a Boss HF-2 Hi Band Flanger pedal that was produced in Taiwan instead of Japan, typically from the late 1980s to early 1990s. These pedals share the same internal components and sound as their Japanese-made counterparts, offering a bright and clean flanger effect with four controls: Manual, Depth, Rate, and Resonance. The main difference is the "Made in Taiwan" label on the unit, rather than the "Made in Japan" label found on earlier models.
- Timeframe: Boss moved production of its compact pedals, including the HF-2, from Japan to Taiwan around 1990.
-
Effect:A unique high-band flanger that combines the original signal with a delayed, octave-up signal for a brighter, more shimmering effect compared to traditional flangers like the BF-2
- Controls:
- Manual: Adjusts the delay time.
- Depth: Changes the range of the modulation.
- Rate: Controls the speed of the modulation.
- Resonance: Adds feedback to the effect.
- Uses a 9V battery or AC adapter.
-
High-Frequency Focus:The effect targets higher frequencies, creating a brighter, more articulate flanging sound that doesn't make low notes muddy.
